Does your hockey player want to improve their explosive, game-changing speed? Of course they do! Speed means more goals and better defense!
Everyone short of Connor McDavid should have a focus on adding speed to their game. Heck, even Connor works on his speed in the offseason because it's that important of a component to today's modern game.
The Elite Development Program is proud to have partnered with Sam Faulkner and Brandon Riffell to bring their unique and world class speed training to EDP players on eight Fridays in June and July at Shull Park in Gahanna. Sam is one of the state's top athletic speed trainers and Brandon is fast making his mark, and they have developed an off ice speed training program for EDP players and alumni.
This speed training series is open to all ages, from EDP U10s through program alumni. To register, visit:
The cost for these sessions is $180 for all eight (8), $120 for four (4) and $40 for a single session. When signing up, please note that Sam and Brandon will be testing each player at the first and last scheduled sessions to determine how much they've improved in several speed metrics and to quantify the players' progression through the series.
Shull Park is located at 236 Granville Street in Gahanna and the surface will be grass, so have your player bring soccer cleats or other shoes that can be used on grass for explosive movement. There's an inline rink at Shull Park should players want to bring sticks, gloves, and skates to play before or after each session.
If there are cancellations for weather or other reasons, Sam or Brandon have kept July 29 open as a make-up session.
For game-changing speed, you won't want to miss this! RSVP now! Space is limited.
